In the case of this album, the great revelation is the magnificent orchestration, even though it is created by synthesizers and keyboards. 'One More Chance' is blissfully symphonic and the favourite hits are still irritatingly effective. The production is shared between Julian Mendelsohn, David Jacob, Shep Pettibone and Stephen Hague and is mixed to digital perfection. Ultimately this album succeeds in delivering 'pop' exactly as it should be, but played too often it will begin to grate on your friends, as you will end up humming it all day and drive them to despair. his album still holds up after so many years. Solid 5 star pop electronic music. The album almost feels like a soundtrack, all the songs flow together as a whole. Just saw them in concert, and they are still awesome! For over twenty years now, the Pet Shop Boys have given the world some of the best pop music ever. They know how to write memorable songs,that will keep you coming back for more helpings! This C.D is just chock-a-block full of amazing songs, including 4 hit singles! I would have liked them to include the tune Do I Have To?, as well. It would have then given the C.D a high distinction!
